EMI (electro magnetic interference) coatings are used to suppress static discharge. This process is applied during a heat treating process to ensure a complete bonding of the coating to the glass. The EMI coating can attain ohm levels from 800 to 15 and can be tempered in the same manner as the tempered glass. Enameling and sandblasting processes can be applied to our glass products. We have the capability of stenciling designs for either process, such as traffic arrows or pedestrian panels. Unique designs or diffusing effects can be accomplished through sandblasting. Enameling in either black or white ceramic opaque is bonded to the glass surface through a heat-treating process. Drilling, cutting, grinding, and polishing can be done to meet strict tolerances. Combination lenses are common in airport applications where two different colors are required for the same lens application. Combination lenses are made by cutting two different colored lenses and then gluing the unlike colors together. |
