INFRARED TRANSMITTING & HEAT ABSORBING FILTER GLASS

In harsh environments, you need a filter glass that has superior durability and is resistant to abrasion, chemical corrosion, and thermal shock. This is especially important for demanding applications such as within laser systems and other industrial environments. Gas monitoring and detection environments can be particularly corrosive to IR sensors; our IR filter glasses are resistant to hydrocarbons and many corrosive chemicals, which makes them ideal for filtering and protecting IR sensors. We can heat strengthen our filter glass to further improve mechanical durability and thermal shock resistance.

You shouldn’t be constrained by a square supply format. Our IR filter glasses are available in two formats, either as unfinished 6”- 6.5” square blanks or as molded glass. Learn more about our unique capability to mold filter glass.
