- Colored Glass for LED Technology
It is a common misconception that significant light output is lost when using colored glass with like-colored LED lights.
Airport lighting customers are increasingly converting from traditional incandescent lighting to LED technology for airport boundary and other applications. Because LED lights emit light in a very narrow band of the visible light spectrum, traditional blue, red, and green glass boundary light lenses (domes) do not provide sufficient light output to meet FAA and U.S. Military (MIL) specifications.
