Photometric Testing, Chromaticity Testing, Density, Spectral Transmission and Thermal Properties Testing

Kopp Glass,Inc. research and engineering laboratory is fully equipped to assist our customers in product design and development, and it enables us to test all relevant properties of glass. The instrumentation that we have in-house gives us the capability to measure and test the following properties of glass:

Spectral transmission
Chromaticity
Expansion coefficient
Viscosity
Polarization
Density
Refractive index
Photometric performance
Thermal properties

The Research & Engineering department utilizes a Digital Imaging Analysis System for photometric testing, which facilitates in-process testing to ensure the highest quality products. It allows us to test photometric output of glass lenses more accurately and with significantly greater speed.

In addition to our testing facilities onsite, our engineers maintain relationships with several universities and testing facilities, which give us the ability to test many other properties.
